Former Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard believes that Manchester United can challenge for the title next season.
He feels that Jose Mourinho knows his best team and that he will be looking to strengthen over the summer.
In a previous interview, Anders Lindegaard said that Mourinho is a fantastic manager and that he knows his job inside out. He believes that he is the right person to manage a club such as the Red Devils and that there is no doubt that he will be able to help the team win the league again.
Anders Lindegaard said that it is a pity that they have released Zlatan Ibrahimovic though. He thought that the striker was not only good on the pitch with his important goals but also a great player in the dressing room. He had a positive influence on the younger players and helped them play with more confidence.
However, he feels that Jose Mourinho may already have an idea about a potential replacement and that this should not be a problem next season. He believes that there are some good young players in the team and that they will benefit from the experience gained this season.
He said that he is happy for Manchester United to be back in the Champions League. He believes that fans will have some great expectations following their triumph in the Europa League last season. However, he admitted that this time it would be more difficult as they will be opposed to the best European sides and that they will play better if they want to win the title.
He said that fans should stand behind the team and create a great atmosphere for the home games. He said that this would be beneficial for the team especially when it comes to the younger players.
