Anders Lindegaard has said that United has a lot of experienced players in its squad and they will guide the team to Premier League victory in the ongoing season.
United is on the verge of winning the Premier League again in the ongoing season. No other team is even close to United in terms of points at the moment. Behind United is Manchester City and they are 15 points away.
Talking to the reporters about the chances of his team to win the Premier League, Lindegaard said, “Our chances are very good; no doubt about that. The senior players like Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes will be vital in the remaining matches. They have played a lot of pressure matches in their career and their experience will be handy in the upcoming games. I believe that they will guide us to the title.”
Lindegaard has got very few playing chances in this season. He has featured for the Red Devils in only one match after December 1. When asked about that, Lindegaard said, “To be honest, it’s tough to sit on the sidelines when the team is going great guns. I want to play more matches, but, that obviously can’t happen at this point of time as David is doing a great job for the side.”
Meanwhile, there have been reports that Lindegaard has got frustrated because of limited playing chances in the ongoing season and he might opt to leave United during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Also, United is looking to sign a goalkeeper and the club is linked with Pepe Reina, Asmir Begovic and Michel Vorm. The arrival of any of them in the United camp might make Lindegaard the third choice goalkeeper of United.
Lindegaard has played 24 matches for United in his two-year tenure so far.
