LINDEGAARD DELIGHTED AT UNITED
Denmark number 1 Anders Lindegaard is delighted with how his time at Manchester United has gone, though he admits that it has been a difficult first few months.
Lindegaard arrived at Old Trafford in January 2011 (after the Danish season had ended) and has had a few chances to impress in the first team. He's obviously dismayed that the club went out and bought £20m worth of goalkeeper in David de Gea, but accepts that that is all part and parcel of the competition at a top club like United.
"As a footballer I feel I’ve developed all parts of my game in the time I’ve been here. That’s a very important step because if you don’t develop all the parts of your game you won’t develop at this level."
"It’s a great honour to play for Manchester United and I’m very proud to be part of this club,” he said. "If I look back to where I was one year ago I would have cut my right arm off to be in the position I’m in at the moment.
